Leadership & Management

The Leadership & Management course is geared toward public health care professionals, such as persons from the Ministries of Health in the Caribbean, who work in public health laboratories and are seeking to strengthen their skills in leading and managing teams. 

Through four lessons (Characteristics of Effective Supervision, Providing Constructive Feedback, Effective Delegation, and Preparation of Workplans) this course provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to support the leadership and management of public health workers.

Public Health Surveillance

The course is designed to acquaint health care professionals with the concept of public health surveillance and its application in varied settings. The topics center around the surveillance process, particularly analysis and interpretation of data


CR-FELTP Level II, Module 1- Scientific Reporting

The Communication Teaching domain is one component of the Caribbean Regional, Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme. The aim of the course is to provide students with essential skills in accessing scientific literature in the field of epidemiology, and in communication information in a variety of media to technical and non-technical audiences. By the end of this course, students will be able to find and interpret scientific information, show proficiency in written communication to technical stakeholders through use of memoranda and scientific posters, and deliver oral presentations to non-technical audiences. Ultimately, this will foster improved standards of communication of current and emerging information and issues with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
